Description

The Zamia Zenzii, or Dwarf ZZ Plant, is a compact, unpretentious houseplant that one loves because of its lush, deep green foliage and low maintenanceComparatively small version of the popular ZZ plant, Zamioculcas zamiifolia, Zenzii has thick, curled leaves growing in dense, upright fashion which gives it a rather unique, structured look. It’s a good lowlight-tolerant, forgetful, forgiving plant ideal for beginners as well as the most seasoned of enthusiasts.

Key Features:

  • Do not overwater or it can result in root rot, the drainage hole should be present at the bottom of the pot.

Soil:

  • Use the draining soil for cactus and succulent plants.
  • combination with perlite or sand will prevent water retention.

Temperature & Humidity:

  • Favor temperatures between 60–80°F (16–27°C).
  • Can tolerate low humidity but prefers moderate humidity.
  • Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.

Fertilizing:

  • Feed with a diluted liquid fertilizer once every 2-3 months in the growing season (spring and summer).
  • No fertilization is required in fall and winter.

Pruning & Maintenance:

  • Prune only to remove yellowing or damaged leaves.
  • Wipe off the leaves using a damp cloth to remove any dust and give them their sheen.

Repotting:

  • Its slow growth pattern makes repotting necessary after 2 to 3 years or when this plant outgrows its container.

Pet Safety:

  • Toxic if ingested, Keep away from pets.
